When you start a new project with MagicSite, the interactive chat is the starting point: here the AI collects all the necessary information to generate your website.

There are no right or wrong answers, but the clearer and more specific you are, the more the final project will reflect your expectations.

Here are some tips on how to make the most of the MagicSite chat to achieve optimal results:

Answer clearly and specifically

Vague answers lead to generic results.

Instead, try to be precise about what you need:

“A website for my company”

“A showcase website for a small furniture company, with a products section, photo gallery, and contact form”

The goal is not to try to anticipate what the AI “expects” or to say everything at once: MagicSite clarifies the meaning of the questions by providing examples and structures the interview based on the answers it receives.

You just need to answer as thoroughly as possible, letting the conversation guide you.

#tip - Think about how you would describe your project to a colleague: that’s the same approach that works best with MagicSite.

Describe goals and audience

During the chat, MagicSite will ask what the website will be used for and who it is aimed at. Answer in detail: this information helps the AI propose a more targeted structure and content.

Examples of useful answers:

“The website must present the services of my photography studio and allow clients to contact me for bookings.”

 “I want an e-commerce website to sell natural cosmetics online, aimed mainly at a young, sustainability-conscious audience.”

 “I want a personal travel blog, with articles divided by destination and a section dedicated to practical tips.”

Indicate if you already have online content

If you are creating a website for a business, MagicSite may ask whether there is already content published online — for example, an old website, social media pages, or company profiles.

If you provide these references, the AI will use them as additional sources of information to generate more accurate and consistent texts and content related to your business.

#tip - If you already have online materials, sharing them helps you save time and ensures content that better reflects your company’s identity.

If you’re unsure, ask

If during the chat you’re not sure how to answer a question, have a doubt, or need advice, try asking MagicSite directly: its answers can help you clarify your ideas and give you useful insights and suggestions to work on.

MagicSite adapts the questions it asks to the type and tone of the answers it receives, which means every chat is different.

The choice is yours. You can decide to let yourself be guided and experience the chat as an interview, or take a more active role and turn the chat into a productive exchange of ideas and information with a collaborator.

Use the chat commands

During the conversation with MagicSite, you can use some commands that help you better manage the interview:

  • Help me answer → MagicSite reformulates the question and offers suggestions.
  • Skip question → useful if the request is not relevant to your website.
  • Go to the template selection → if you’ve already provided enough information, you can stop the chat and move on to the next step right away.

These buttons are simple shortcuts: you can achieve the same result by writing directly in the chat.

And if you change your mind, you can always correct or rephrase a previous answer.

Don’t worry too much: everything is editable

Even if you answer quickly or are unsure about some choices, there’s no risk: the generated project is always a modifiable starting point.

Once opened in the classic WebSite X5 editor, you can:

  • change texts, images, and colors;
  • add or remove pages;
  • completely modify the structure or the graphic style.

In short, the MagicSite chat works like a short interview: let yourself be guided by the questions, answer as thoroughly as possible, and the website you get will be close to what you had in mind.

And if something doesn’t convince you, you can always adjust it freely using the WebSite X5 tools.
