To make the browsing experience smoother and more enjoyable, you can choose to apply an entrance effect to the entire page. This is an animation that runs on load and helps give rhythm and personality to your website.
It's a simple but effective way to guide users through your content right from the start.
Here’s how to do it:
- Open the Map in Step 3 and select the page where you want to apply an entrance effect.
- Click the
button in the toolbar.
- In the window that opens, click Enable Effect, scroll through the list of effects, and use the preview to select the one you prefer.
- Set the duration of the effect in seconds.
- Finally, choose the background color the browser window should display when the current page is hidden to allow the next page to load with the selected entrance effect.
When you apply an entrance effect (e.g. Explode), an opposite exit effect (e.g. Reduce) is automatically set. This effect is triggered if the user returns to the page using the browser’s 'Back' button.
In the Map at Step 3, pages with an associated effect are easy to identify thanks to the icon .
#tip – All page effects are made using CSS and are supported only by Chromium-based browsers (e.g. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge).
#tip – Accessibility. Modern operating systems include an accessibility setting to reduce or disable visual effects, such as animations and transitions. If this option is enabled, any effects applied to pages will not be played.
