How to customize an Object style with CSS Code

WebSite X5 provides you with a wide gallery of Objects that you can use to compose the pages of your site.

All Objects, both default and optional can be defined and customized through their respective settings window: once inserted into the Layout Grid, you only need to select the Object you want to work on and click the Edit button (or double-click on the Object itself) to access the window with all the options that allow you to define it.

If you want to go beyond the possibilities offered by the settings window of an Object and you have programming skills, you can manually add CSS code by following these steps:

• In Step 3 - Sitemap, open the page you want to work on and select the Object in question. 
• Click the Code button to access the CSS Code window.
• Use the editor to compose the CSS Code you want to apply to the Object. The editor is already initialized with the Object's ID. 
• The CSS code manually entered overrides the code generated by WebSite X5: you can verify this by clicking the Preview button and viewing the site in the local browser.
