WebSite X5 is so simple and user-friendly that many users prefer to start off with Pro directly, which is the most comprehensive solution as far as functions and templates are concerned. Others prefer a step-by-step approach: they start with an edition that requires a lower budget and then, once they become more experienced, switch to a higher one.
Switching from a lower to a higher edition is easy. Here you can find the answers to some questions you may have.
How to switch from a lower plan to a higher one?
To switch from a lower edition to a higher one, you can just enjoy the offers that you get per e-mail (we suggest you to register to our newsletter service, if you haven't already) or that you find on the "Offers" page of your Help Center account. If, for instance, you own an Evo license, you will find the offer to switch to Pro with a discount, so you don't have to purchase the license at full price.

How to register the new license?
Once you purchase a higher plan, you will have to repeat the software installation. For example, if you're switching from Evo to Pro, you will have to install Pro from the link you received upon making the purchase.
In order for the system to recognize you as a user of a previous software edition, you have to activate the new license with the same e-mail address you have used for the old one. Going back to our example, this means you have to register the new Pro license with the same e-mail address you have used to register the Evo one.

What happens to the previous license once the new one is activated?
Regardless of the editions, once the new license is activated the previous one will keep working normally. Moreover, you will keep receiving updated for that license until the 12 months of included updates are over, no matter if it is an Evo or a Pro ( the Go license does not entitle you to receive new versions and updates.)
The WebSite X5 license is yours forever. It stays active for 12 months starting from the activation date, and it entitles you to receive updates and new versions. When this period of time is expiring, you will be able to extend your license to keep receiving updates. If you don't, you won't get any more updates, but you will still be able to keep using the latest version you have installed.
